We make earning them fun! Our trainings focus on experiential learning rather than lecture-based education. This is because we know that people learn best when they’re actively engaged and when they’re playing!

With us, you don’t have to worry about whether a training counts for licensure or towards being a registered play therapist. At the Monarch Training Center, we have you taken care of.

The Monarch Training Center provides continuing education with experiential training to mental health professionals, consultation to private practice owners, and mental health training to businesses.

Sarah Stroup MA, LMFT, RPT-S

Sarah is an APT approved provider and the co-founder of the Monarch Training Center where they offer continuing education in play therapy, ethics, suicide prevention, and more in addition to play therapy supervision. She is passionate about helping other therapists learn and hone their skills in play therapy. Sarah is also the owner of Monarch Family Counseling with multiple locations in Utah. She specializes in chasing her busy twins around but when seeing clients, she is passionate about attachment, trauma, and being able to get off the floor after sitting with kid clients.

Maggi Leavitt MA, LMFT, RPT-S

Maggi Leavitt is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and RPT-S™, with over 10 years experience. She is the owner of Yellow Leaf Counseling, a private practice in central Utah. She works primarily with adolescents and is becoming quite proficient in swearing, eye rolls, and awkward silences. She is part owner of the Monarch Training Center and loves teaching other therapists the dynamics of play therapy. Maggi is on the Utah Association for Play Therapy board where she helps with social media. She loves being with her family and is always looking for the next place to travel and have fun with them.
