Workshop Overview:
The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming mental healthcare, presenting both exciting opportunities and complex challenges for therapists. This workshop, “Artificial Intelligence in the Therapist’s Chair: Ethics, Practice, and Progress,” provides essential knowledge for navigating this evolving landscape. Participants will explore the current and future applications of AI in therapy, including assessment, support, and treatment planning. The training will equip mental health professionals with practical insights into evaluating AI tools, understanding their capabilities and limitations, and integrating them responsibly into their practice while maintaining the crucial therapeutic relationship.
A core focus of the workshop will be the critical ethical and legal considerations surrounding AI in therapy. Participants will delve into issues of client privacy, algorithmic bias, informed consent, and professional accountability. Through engaging discussions and real-world examples, attendees will learn to identify potential risks and develop strategies for ethical and responsible AI implementation. This forward-thinking training will empower therapists to critically assess the progress of AI in mental health and confidently navigate its integration to enhance client care and professional practice.
Workshop Objectives:

- Discuss the evolving landscape of AI in mental health and its implications for the future of therapeutic practice.

Cancellation Policy:
Registration cancellations must be submitted in writing. The registration fees, minus a $35 administrative charge, will be refunded if the request is made 30 days prior to the conference, workshop, or training. Registration refunds will not be made within 30 days prior to the conference, workshop, or training. No refunds will be given to parties who register but do not attend. Registrations may be transferred to another person without penalty only if the original registrant notifies the training coordinator in writing. We reserve the right to cancel any conference, training, or workshop in the vent of unforeseen circumstances. If such occurs, we will attempt to notify registrants at least 10 calendar days prior to the conference and refund all registration, workshop, continuing education fees.
