Workshop Overview:
This workshop is appropriate for those new to sandtray, those who are looking for new interventions, and those who are looking to integrate it into their current clinical work. We will go over the history of sandtray therapy, it’s role in the world of play therapy/experiential theory, the basic tenets, integrating sandtray into play therapy theory, and applying the interventions. Attendees will be able to take away a host of knowledge and interventions to apply to their practice immediately.
Workshop Objectives:
After the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Rehearse the history and development of sandtray therapy
- Identify the basic tenets and best practices of sandtray therapy
- Identify how to integrate sandtray therapy as an experiential intervention across a variety of play therapy theories
- Apply interventions and ask relevant processing questions based on play therapy theory

Cancellation Policy:
Registration cancellations must be submitted in writing. The registration fees,
minus a $25 administrative charge, will be refunded if the request is made 30
days prior to the conference, workshop, or training. Registration refunds will
not be made within 30 days prior to the conference, workshop, or training. No
refunds will be given to parties who register but do not attend. Registrations
may be transferred to another person without penalty only if the original
registrant notifies the training coordinator in writing.

This training does not lead to or provide any certifications in sandtray
therapy. Play therapy credit may only be awarded to mental health
professionals.
